The wife of the late Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, has finally broken her silence following the mixed reactions that greeted news of her recent remarriage.
Addressing members of her church during a Thanksgiving service held after her recent wedding to Samuel Aryeequaye, the clergyperson opened up about her decision to re-marry, stressing that it was a well-thought-out and faith-driven choice.

According to Apostle Lilian Owusu Kumah, the congregation already knows her as someone who firmly believes in the principle of forward ever, backward never, and for that reason, people should understand that her decision to marry again was one that was wisely taken.
She explained that she fully observed the mandatory one-year widowhood rites after the death of her husband and only considered moving on when she believed it was the right time to do so.
She further revealed that after completing the widowhood rites, she and members of her prayer tower, together with some junior pastors, began to pray earnestly for God to bless her with a new husband if it was His will.
“In the course of those prayers, God answered us,” she told the congregation, adding that her current husband came into her life as a direct result of those sessions of prayer.
The widow-turned-bride disclosed that when she eventually met her new husband, the connection was instant, describing the experience as love at first sight.
Apostle Lilian went on to share that there are three key qualities she admires in a man, boldness, hard work, and vision, and noted that her new husband possesses all these traits and even more.
Her remarks were met with applause from members of the congregation, many of whom appeared supportive of her decision, despite the backlash and criticism circulating on social media since news of her remarriage broke.
