Mr Bawah Fuseini, newly appointed Acting Director of the National Sports College (NSC) in Winneba, has called on the Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII.

The visit, according to the College was to formally announce and introduce the Acting Director to the traditional ruler and also seek his blessings and guidance as he assumes office as head of the institute.

Mr Fuseini, who doubles as the President of Ghana Athletics, expressed gratitude to the Chief for the warm reception and emphasised his commitment to collaborate with him to enhance the College’s development.

Neenyi Ghartey VII congratulated Mr Bawah on his new position and assured him of the traditional council’s support.

He further highlighted the importance of revitalising the National Sports College, referencing its past contributions to the Aboakyer festival and expressed hope to thrive for the benefit of the Winneba community.

Mr Fuseini, who officially took office on October 15, 2024, was accompanied by the Head of the Public Relations unit of the college, Ms Florence Adams and the Head of the Accounts, Mr Joseph Appiah. –GNA
