The Ghana Football Association (GFA) says it is working to secure as many tickets as possible for Ghanaian fans ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA recently introduced a $60 Supporter Entry Tier ticket for fans of qualified nations in response to criticism over previous high prices. The category will be available for all 104 matches, including the final, across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Tickets in this category are reserved for supporters of qualified teams and will be distributed through each Participating Member Association, including the GFA.

Communications Director Henry Asante Twum explained the association’s role in helping fans gain access.

“The tournament is organized by FIFA. The determination of prizes is not done by the FA. The tournament owner sets the ticket prices,” he told Joy Sports.

“We cannot do much about the ticketing or the pricing. We have begun engagements to secure as many tickets as possible for Ghanaian fans who are willing to travel to the tournament. This is not peculiar to Ghana,” he added:

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, with supporters eager to back the Black Stars on the world stage.
