Renowned Ghanaian media personality and newly qualified lawyer Serwaa Amihere has sparked public attention following her appearance at the Accra High Court on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, barely two months after being called to the Bar.

Serwaa Amihere, a popular GHOne TV presenter, was officially called to the Ghana Bar on Friday, October 10, 2025, during a colourful ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

She was among 824 law students who completed their legal training and were admitted to practice law.

The prestigious ceremony was attended by members of the Judiciary, the General Legal Council, senior members of the Bar, legal scholars, and notable political figures.

Serwaa was supported by close family members, including her mother Madam Lydia Tetteh and her sister Maame Gyamfua, as well as friends from the entertainment and legal circles.

Among those present to cheer her on were lawyer and socialite Sandra Ankobiah and actress Fella Makafui.

On Tuesday, a TikTok video shared by the Ghanaian Times Newspaper captured Serwaa Amihere arriving at the premises of the Accra High Court for a legal proceeding.

Dressed elegantly in her lawyer’s gown, she was seen holding her wig and legal documents, signaling her active involvement in court work.

However, the video showed the broadcaster appearing visibly displeased as she approached the court building. She reportedly chastised media personnel who had gathered at the premises for filming her, expressing discomfort over the attention.

The footage has since generated widespread discussion online, with many Ghanaians commenting on her swift transition from broadcast journalism to legal practice, while others debated the growing public scrutiny faced by high-profile personalities entering the legal profession.

Serwaa Amihere’s appearance at the High Court marks a significant milestone in her legal journey, underscoring her commitment to balancing her established media career with her new role at the Bar.
