Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako, former Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), has been appointed Executive Chairman of e-Crime Bureau by the company’s newly inaugurated Board of Directors.

This marks a return to the organisation he founded in 2011, where he served as Principal Consultant until 2017 before moving into public service to lead the CSA as its first Director-General until March 2025.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, he said; “I am honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility to serve as the Executive Chairman, particularly considering the growth aspirations of the firm and the excitement of driving the Bureau’s international market.”

“I thank the Bureau and Members of the Board for the appointment. I look forward to working closely with Members of the Board, the Executive Consulting Leadership and staff, Partners and Clients towards the realisation of the Transition and Growth Strategy of the firm,” he added.

During Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako’s tenure at the CSA, Ghana’s cybersecurity readiness score rose from 32.6% in 2017 to 99.27% in 2025, according to the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index.

He also played a wider continental role as founding Chair of the African Network of Cyber Security Authorities, working with the Smart Africa Alliance to develop the network’s constitutional framework and a five-year plan for cybersecurity development across Africa.

His appointment comes alongside the inauguration of e-Crime Bureau’s third Governing Board, part of the organisation’s Transition and Growth Strategy aimed at expanding services and extending its reach within Ghana and internationally.

As Executive Chairman, Dr Antwi-Boasiako will lead the Board in setting strategic direction.

Operational leadership will be provided by Emmanuel Agyei, who has been appointed Consulting Chief Executive.

Other members of the Board are Daniel Adoteye, Dr Suzanne Nti, Professor Goski Alabi, Hicham El Achgar, and Michael Abbiw.

Cecilia Antwi Kyem has been named Board Secretary, while Agyei serves on the Board in his role as Consulting Chief Executive.
