President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, for an official state visit at the invitation of His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya.

He touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at midnight, where he was received by Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi, alongside other senior government officials. President Mahama exchanged pleasantries with the welcoming delegation.

As part of the visit, President Mahama is expected to serve as the Guest of Honour at Kenya’s Jamhuri Day celebrations, a national event that commemorates the country’s independence and showcases its rich cultural heritage.

Following the celebrations, he will be hosted to a luncheon by President Ruto.

He was accompanied by Dr Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President and Mr. Stanislav Xoese Dogbe, Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations.

President Mahama is scheduled to depart Kenya on Saturday.
