Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, presidential running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections and former Minister for Education and Energy, has reiterated his unwavering belief in the promise of Ghana’s youth after hosting two separate delegations of emerging leaders.

Earlier, Dr Opoku Prempeh received the leadership of the African Law Students Association (ALSA), led by International President Takyi Gyan Wisdom and the West Africa Regional Director, Mabel Obeng, who also serves as the Country Director of Young Women of Africa. The delegation extended a formal invitation for him to support their mentorship engagements and youth-focused activities in the coming year.

They also presented a thoughtful framed portrait to Dr Opoku Prempeh — a gesture he described as deeply appreciated. He commended ALSA for its unyielding commitment to nurturing disciplined, principled, and service-driven young leaders capable of shaping a brighter future for Ghana and the continent.

Reinforcing the same spirit of youth empowerment, Dr Opoku Prempeh also hosted the JCR Executives of James Topp Nelson Yankah Hall (TF Hostel) of the University of Ghana, led by Vice President Baah Asante Evelyn. Their discussions centered on leadership, service, and the hall’s strategic plans for the upcoming academic year.

Dr Opoku Prempeh emphasized that the passion and readiness of Ghana’s young people to lead with integrity and purpose provide renewed confidence in the nation’s future. He assured both delegations of his continued support for initiatives that cultivate responsible leadership and civic-mindedness.

“As long as we continue to invest in the vision, values, and voices of our young people, Ghana’s future will remain secure and full of hope,” he said.
