Ghanaian Politician Hopeson Adorye has revealed the specific conditions under which the ongoing legal battle between his family and Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, will finally be withdrawn.

This revelation comes just days after Agradaa, through her lawyers, issued an official statement apologizing to Adorye and his wife for the defamatory remarks she previously made.

Speaking in an interview on CTV’s Oman Ghana Nkusuo, hosted by Yaa Titi, the husband of award-winning gospel musician, Empress Gifty recounted that when the issue went to the court, it was ruled in their favour and the court ordered Nana Agradaa to pay GH¢6,000 in compensation to his wife.

He was quick to add that they declined the compensation, because they believe that amount was not going to cover the substantial legal expenses they had incurred.

He disclosed that his lawyer charged GH¢60,000 as an initial retainer for the first suit and when a second suit was filed, after Agradaa allegedly claimed his wife had AIDS, another GH¢60,000 was paid, bringing the total lawyer fees to GH¢120,000.

The outspoken politician added that in addition to these costs, each suit required a filing fee of GH¢14,800, amounting to GH¢28,000 for both cases, which brings the total to GH¢148,000 on the two legal actions.

Hopeson Adorye then stated that when Agradaa’s team returned seeking forgiveness, they made it clear that any acceptance of her apology would be contingent on reimbursing these full costs.

He further revealed that Agradaa’s camp eventually pleaded to pay GH¢100,000 toward the legal expenses, an offer his family accepted for the sake of resolution.

He stressed that as it stands, the only ways this legal battle will end are, when Nana Agradaa issue an unqualified public apology and must post the apology across all her social media platforms (which she has done).

Also, when her legal team does as the court directed NITA and other relevant authorities to delete all defamatory videos from the internet.

And finally, when his family gets the financial reimbursement.
