Ghanaian socialite, Dennis Anane, popularly known as Archipalago, has shared his thoughts regarding the recent controversies surrounding the death of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

In an interview on OKAY FM, shared on Instagram on December 8, 2025, Archipalago said what he would remember most about Daddy Lumba is the many controversies that surrounded him, particularly those involving women.

“One thing that will make me miss Lumba the most is how women were always around him and the controversies that came with it. But I’m sad about how things are unfolding after his death,” he stated.

The foolishness must stop – Archipalago blasts social media users for unnecessary comparisons

He added, “I started listening to Lumba way back. I’ve learned a lot from his songs, and the words he puts in his music are what I use as a guide in life.”

Speaking further, Archipalago expressed disappointment over how some Ghanaians have since reacted to the judge’s ruling in the recent legal standoff between Lumba’s wife, Akosua Serwaa, and his mistress, Odo Broni.

Why Archipalago is trending on social media

According to him, the harsh criticisms levelled against the judge were completely unnecessary.

“I’ve realised a lot of people on the internet have a shallow mindset. How can you insult a judge for ruling on a case? That was a good and fair judgment, because clearly she was trying to make peace,” he said.

To him, Ghanaians are not following Lumba’s career with the right perspective.
