Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, widely known by his stage name Champz, has opened up about his growing passion for music and his determination to build his own identity outside his father’s global stardom.

In a recent interview with Glitch Africa, the 14-year-old spoke about how naturally music found its way into his life.

Surrounded by a musically inclined environment, he said his early exposure came from family and friends.

“My dad does music, I have friends who make music, and a cousin who plays piano. I have been making beats and writing songs since I was young,” he shared.

Despite being the son of one of Africa’s most successful artists, Champz insists he feels no pressure to replicate Wizkid’s achievements. His focus, he said, is simply on growing at his own pace.

“There’s no pressure. I’m young. I mean, I’m 14. I still have a long way to go. I’ve done a lot for my age already. No pressure,” he said confidently.

The young rapper has been steadily teasing original music and cultivating a fan base online, signaling early steps in what could become a promising career.

With increasing media appearances and public interest, Champz appears ready to take more deliberate strides into the spotlight on his own terms.
