Ghanaian highlife lovers have reason to celebrate as celebrated musician Samuel Nana Kwakye, widely known by his stage name Oboy Sika, makes a powerful return to the music scene with his brand-new single, “DammI Scopa.”

Oboy Sika, long admired for his soulful vocals and distinctly African sound, has built a legacy rooted in authenticity and lived experience.

His music rich with storytelling, emotion and cultural depth continues to resonate deeply with fans across Ghana and the diaspora.

Raised in Ghana, Oboy Sika discovered his musical path under the mentorship of legendary highlife icon Nana Acheampong of the renowned Lumba Brothers.

This early grooming played a defining role in shaping his vocal style and artistic identity, giving birth to the warm, timeless sound that now characterizes his work.

Throughout his career, Oboy Sika has released four acclaimed albums: Ɔkwantuni, Asɛsɛdwa, Me Dɔ Wo Ba No and Enufu Baatan.

These albums produced several classics that remain fan favorites, including “Yi Wani Nampu Woto,” “Yen Bre Nie,” “Yesu Mogya,” “Timeleelee,” and “Nhyira Botwoo.”

In recent years, the highlife sensation has been living and working abroad, seeking new opportunities and creative growth. His experiences overseas have added a fresh layer of depth to his music while keeping him connected to his Ghanaian roots.

Now, with the release of “DammI Scopa,” Oboy Sika signals a bold new chapter. The track captures his evolution thus energetic, refreshing, and modern—yet stays true to the storytelling and emotional strength that define his artistry.

Music enthusiasts and industry watchers are already anticipating the impact of this new single, which reaffirms Oboy Sika’s status as a resilient, innovative, and truly African musical force.

As he shares this new chapter with the world, one thing remains clear: Oboy Sika continues to uplift, inspire, and entertain audiences everywhere.
