Nottingham Forest Women got back to winning ways in the Barclays WSL2, thanks to a sensational brace from Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, who inspired her side to a 3-1 victory over Sunderland at the City Ground on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

The Black Queens forward opened the scoring in the 19th minute, receiving a perfectly timed long pass from Chloe Mustaki.

Demonstrating both strength and finesse, Boye-Hlorkah glided past Sunderland defenders before unleashing a thunderous strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance.

Forest’s lead was doubled in the 31st minute by Claypole Aimee, giving the home side a comfortable cushion.

Sunderland did fight back through Emily Scar in the 69th minute, pulling one goal back and threatening to shift the momentum.

However, Boye-Hlorkah ensured all doubt was erased with her second goal in the 87th minute, calmly finishing a well-worked move to put the result beyond Sunderland’s reach.

The brace takes Boye-Hlorkah’s tally to four goals in ten appearances in the 2025/26 Women Super League 2 season, underlining her growing influence in Nottingham Forest’s attacking setup.

Her ability to combine strength, vision, and lethal finishing has made her a central figure in the team’s push up the table.

Forest will look to build on this performance as they continue their campaign, with Boye-Hlorkah undoubtedly a key player to watch in the coming fixtures.
