Ghana will begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup journey with a crucial opening match against Panama on June 17, following the confirmation of the Group L fixtures after the draw Friday, December 5, 2025, in Washington.

The Black Stars will then face England on June 23, 2026, in what is expected to be their toughest group test.

The final group match will see Ghana take on Croatia, with the date to be confirmed when FIFA releases the full tournament schedule on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Ghana are aiming to progress from the group stage for the first time since 2010, when they reached the quarter-finals in South Africa.

With three teams able to advance from each group under the expanded format, securing early points will be vital.

    Group L fixtures:

Ghana vs Panama – 17 June

England vs Ghana – 23 June

Croatia vs Ghana – Date TBC

The Black Stars are returning to the global stage for the fifth time, and optimism is growing that the new-look squad can make a strong push toward the knockout phase in North America next summer.
