Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly referred to as Nana Agradaa, has formally retracted and disowned all the allegations she previously made against Gospel musician Empress Gifty, admitting that the claims were false and without any basis.

Through her legal representatives, Agradaa acknowledged that the statements she made, widely circulated on social media in May 2025, were untrue and lacked merit.

The retraction was issued on December 4, 2025, via a statement from the law firm representing the embattled Evangelist, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, which indicated that the remarks were made “in the spur of the moment” and, although not premeditated, caused harm.

Richard Asare Baffour, the lawyer handling the matter, stressed the finality of the withdrawal, stating, “…the allegations against Empress Gifty were untrue and should not be given any weight.”

The admission is intended to put an end to public speculation and ease tensions that have persisted between the two figures over the past months.

Following the legal retraction, Nana Agradaa issued a personal, unreserved apology to Empress Gifty, acknowledging the damage her social media posts had caused to the singer’s reputation, career, and personal life. The apology also extended to Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and colleagues affected by the fallout.

According to her lawyers, the main purpose of the retraction is to “restore peace and correct the public record” after months of public controversy.

Empress Gifty had filed a lawsuit against Nana Agradaa in May 2025, seeking 20 million cedis in damages for defamation.

The suit claims that on May 13, 2025, Nana Agradaa, who reportedly had a dispute with Empress Gifty’s husband, Hopeson Adorye, attacked him on her social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, during a live broadcast and also made defamatory statements about the Gospel singer.
