Mark Aniadaga, Chief Executive Officer of Teckurban Consult Ltd, has been named Ghana’s Most Respected CEO in the Geospatial Technology category at the 8th edition Ghana Industry CEO Awards.

Aniadaga was recognized for his leadership in advancing geospatial solutions and sustainable urban development. Teckurban Consult provides consulting services in geospatial technology and urban planning, and under Aniadaga’s leadership, the firm has worked on projects in Ghana and the United States.

“This award is not just a personal achievement—it is a testament to the power of innovation and collaboration,” Aniadaga said after winning the award.

“At Teckurban, we believe that geospatial technology is more than maps and data; it is a tool for shaping inclusive, resilient, and sustainable communities,” he added.

Aniadaga previously led the “Renewing the Heart of Phenix City” redevelopment initiative in Alabama, which earned him the 2022 Distinguished Leadership Award from the American Planning Association’s Alabama Chapter.

He also ranked seventh among Alabama’s top community leaders, according to Patch.com..

His work includes the Montgomery Highway Corridor Revitalization Plan in Dothan, Alabama, and geospatial projects in Atlanta, where he developed GIS dashboards to manage $3.7 million in housing stabilization tax relief and created tools to combat urban blight.

Aniadaga holds a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning and a graduate certificate in GIS from Auburn University, as well as a planning degree from Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He is a member of the American Planning Association and the Georgia Geospatial Association.
