Barcelona’s La Masia is undoubtedly the most prestigious football academy in the world, with some of the greatest talents in world football hailing from the Blaugrana youth system.

Great players like Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique, and Pedro Rodriguez all emerged from La Masia.

These players defined the glory days of the Catalan club between 2009 and 2015, winning the treble on two occasions.

All these stars also won the FIFA World Cup at the international level, further emphasizing their successful football careers.

In the current era, La Masia has produced exceptional talents to feed the Barcelona first team amid the club’s financial woes.

The likes of Lamine Yamal, Gavi, Pau Cubarsi, Dani Olmo, Inaki Pena, and Alejandro Balde, who were groomed at La Masia, have become key players in Hansi Flick’s current setup.

Recent reports indicate that a new name making waves in La Masia is Nigerian wonderkid Destiny Kosiso.

At the tender age of nine, Kosiso has been hailed as the next big talent to emerge from La Masia, considering his staggering numbers at the academy.

Destiny has reportedly scored 87 goals in 22 games, leaving the Barcelona youth coaches and fans in astonishment.

Apart from his finishing prowess, his pace and goal-scoring instinct make him stand out among his peers at the academy.

According to Footballrover, the 9-year-old singlehandedly bagged an astonishing 20 goals to lead Barcelona’s youth team to victory in the Iscar Cup.

It is interesting to know that Destiny has two elder brothers, David Obinna and Divine Ikkenna, who have also been groomed at La Masia.

However, it is pretty clear that Destiny is a special prodigy who has begun to attract attention from across the globe, with many tipping him as the next big talent to emerge from La Masia after Lamine Yamal.
