On behalf of the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, the Honourable Suzanne Côté, Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and Deputy of the Governor General, received the credentials of six new heads of mission during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
During the ceremony, the following new heads of mission presented their credentials:

High Commissioner for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh
High Commissioner for the Republic of Ghana
Bachir Tawk
Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic
Lay Ling Ang
High Commissioner for Brunei Darussalam
Upon their arrival in Canada, new heads of mission must present their letters of credence to the governor general before they can carry out their duties.
Letters of credence are the official documents that accredit a diplomat as an ambassador of or high commissioner for another country.
