Several Ghanaian players are shining in the 2025/2026 UEFA Youth League, scoring goals for their respective clubs to boost their progress in the competition.

The tournament, designed for players under the age of 19, featured three teenagers of Ghanaian descent who remain eligible to represent the nation.

In matches played on December 9 and 10, 2025, Malik Pimpong, Ryan McAidoo, and Levi Acheampong all found the net for their clubs.

    Malik Pimpong

Danish-born Ghanaian forward Malik Pimpong scored for FC Midtjylland U19 in the UEFA Youth League against FC Köln on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Pimpong, son of former Black Stars striker Razak Pimpong, is following in his father’s footsteps but could not rescue the Danish outfit from elimination despite his exploits.

His second-half strike lasted only two minutes before the rampant German U19 champions produced a strong display to beat FC Midtjylland 4-1, securing a 5-2 aggregate win.

    Ryan McAidoo

English-born Ghanaian teenager Ryan McAidoo continued his hot scoring streak in the UEFA Youth League, netting as Manchester City U19 thumped Real Madrid to advance to the knockout stages.

McAidoo struck with 20 minutes remaining before a late double from Reigan Heskey sealed City’s 4-0 triumph in Spain.

Manchester City U19 have now reached the knockout phase after finishing second in their group, with four wins in six matches.

    Levi Acheampong

Dutch-born Ghanaian midfielder Levi Acheampong starred for Ajax U19 after netting a brace in their 8-0 victory over Azerbaijani side Qarabağ in the UEFA Youth League.

The teen sensation, who came on as a second-half substitute, scored twice in the space of nine minutes as a rampant Ajax youth side tore apart their hosts in Baku.

Acheampong capped the performance with a sensational finish after a brilliant team move.

He signed his first professional contract with the Dutch giants in January 2025 and has been switching between Ajax’s first team and reserves.

All three players are eligible to play for the nation with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said to be monitoring them keenly.
