    A head-on collision at Mampong Abuontem in the Ashanti Region has claimed three lives and left 30 others injured.

    According to a report by 3news.com, the crash occurred on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

    “The accident involved a Toyota Coaster minibus with registration number, GV 1720-20 and an Opel Astra with registration number, AS 3838 W,” it noted.

    Eyewitnesses said the minibus lost control on a curve and crashed into the Opel Astra.

    “Eyewitness accounts indicate that the Toyota Coaster bus was coming from Ejura Agric College, but the Opel Astra lost control on a curve and veered into the path of the oncoming minibus, leading to a devastating head-on crash,” the report added.

    The report further stated,”The Opel Astra was completely mangled and the Coaster minibus suffered damages to the windscreen, front bumper and fenders.”

    All injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Mampong Government Hospital.

    “Out of the 30 injured victims, 26 have been treated and discharged, while four remain in critical condition at the Mampong Government Hospital,” the report added.
