    Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has opted not to speculate on the Black Stars’ chances of advancing to the knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup.

    Ghana, appearing at the World Cup for the fifth time, have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.

    In an interview with Akoma FM, the U-20 World Cup winner described the tournament as challenging and remained measured about the team’s prospects.

    “The World Cup will be tough, and I can’t say right now whether we will progress or not,” Badu said.

    The Black Stars will kick off their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, before facing England in Boston. Their group stage concludes with a clash against Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.

    Ghana will be eager to move beyond the group stage after exiting at the first hurdle in both Brazil 2014 and Qatar 2022.

    Ahead of the tournament, co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, the team is scheduled to regroup in March for friendly matches against Austria and Germany.
