Asante Kotoko crowned a memorable end to the year with a commanding 6-0 victory over Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, a result that sent the Porcupine Warriors to the top of the Ghana Premier League table.

It was a ruthless display from Kotoko, who recorded their biggest win in several seasons and underlined their growing confidence under Karim Zito. The hosts took control early and never looked back, stretching Bechem’s defence with pace, movement and clinical finishing.

Morrison Donzo opened the scoring in the ninth minute to set the tone, before Samba O’Neil doubled the advantage midway through the first half. Kotoko continued to dominate after the break, with Hubert Gyau adding a third shortly after the restart. Johnson Owusu made it four on the hour mark, as Bechem struggled to cope with the relentless pressure.

The goals kept coming, with Johnson Owusu Kwame Opoku on target to complete an emphatic scoreline and cap a perfect afternoon for the home side.
