Camidoh is a Ghanaian musician Camidoh is a Ghanaian musician

Camidoh has disclosed that 2024 was a very dark year for him as an artiste.

According to the artiste; “I went through some things that I almost didn’t come out again as an artiste”

Speaking on United Showbiz, Camidoh said in early 2024, he fell ill just before his birthday on January 21 and was admitted at the hospital.

Right after he was discharge, he said he realised he had lost so much time so he had to work faster.

The artiste said he reached out to some creatives so they could work together.

He added that at the end of it all, he came up with 26 songs that he wanted to release an album with, but unfortunately, disagreements ensued among them that eventually stopped the songs from not being released.

Coupled with depression and a heartbreak from the year before, he said he ended up finding himself in the darkest place he could ever imagine.

He said that the only song he released in 2024 was his depression and therapy song which he didn’t plan to ever release but his team pushed him to.

Camidoh further recounted that he was only able to get through it thanks to a woman he met at his uncle’s funeral.

Her advise, encouragement and support are what, he said, motivated him to record his knew EP “Trustn God.”

The artiste, however, said the woman unfortunately died 2 days before the EP’s release date.

“I added some voice notes that she sent me as the intro to the songs, and I called her to tell her that I have a surprise for her. But unfortunately, my brother called to inform me that the woman has passed.”

Camidoh added that although people didn’t show him love as much as when he was at his peak when he released “Sugar Cane,” he believes everyone had their priorities and the songs on his EP are to inspire anyone battling depression or anything of the sort.
