All eyes are on Tema Newtown’s Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex this Sunday, April 13, as newcomers Vision FC host Hearts of Oak at home in Round 27 of the Ghana Premier League.
Vision are currently 14th on the league table and fighting to stay in the top tier.
Despite their inconsistent overall form, they have been hard to beat at home, remaining unbeaten in their last six home games (4 wins, 2 draws).
Their most recent home victory was a thrilling 3-2 win over title-holders FC Samartex 1996, proof of their home striking power.
Meanwhile, Hearts, who are 6th on the table, are struggling. A 1-0 victory over Medeama SC in the last round broke their four-game winless streak.
The Phobians have won none of their last five away matches, three of which were drawn and two of which were lost.
Their struggles on the road are a concern, especially against a Vision side that has made their home a mini fortress.
That said, the recent contract extension of their captain and goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, to 2027 could serve as a morale booster for the team.
Expect a spirited fight from Vision as they try to capitalize on Hearts’ away woes, but the visitors will be eager to turn their season around and keep their top-four hopes alive.
