Hearts of Oak produced a dominant display to beat Accra Lions in their matchday 32 encounter of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Late goals from Kofi Asmah and Hamza Issah, as well as an early Enoch Asubonteng strike, ensured the Phobians secured back-to-back wins.

Lawrence Setordjie scored a spectacular long-range drive but left the pitch a minute later due to injury.

The hosts started the game on a bright note, coming close through Raphael Amponsah before Enoch Asubonteng broke from the left to fire past Daniel Afful in the 11th minute.

Accra Lions gradually warmed their way into the match, with Yao Sokpoli and Setordjie coming close, but goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was equal to the task.

Asamoah Boateng almost doubled Hearts of Oak’s lead after taking on Afful, but his goal-bound effort was cleared off the line by Hamza Issah.

After the break, Accra Lions seized control of the match with the introduction of Daniel Acquah and Edmund Amakye.

Following waves of attack, the Lions responded with a well-taken strike from Setordjie, who met a ball after a corner kick from the visitors.

Accra Lions were later punished after failing to clear a ball in the box, with Issah teeing up Asmah for the second goal.

Issah then turned from provider to scorer, following a swift counter from the Phobians, lobbing the ball past Afful.
