Medeama SC secured a vital 2-0 victory over Aduana FC at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Sunday afternoon, ending their two-game losing streak.

The result provides a much-needed boost for the former Ghana Premier League champions, who are looking to climb the table.

After a cagey first half, the breakthrough arrived in the 55th minute when Michael Sarpong was brought down inside the box. Defender Zakaria Mumuni Mubarik took responsibility from the spot and confidently slotted home to hand Medeama the lead.

Aduana FC struggled to create clear-cut chances despite pushing for an equalizer. Medeama’s defence stood firm, frustrating the visitors, who have found consistency hard to come by this season.

The hosts doubled their advantage in the 75th minute through Sarpong, who capped off an impressive performance with a well-taken low header. The goal all but sealed the win, ensuring Medeama secured all three points in front of their home crowd.

With this victory, Medeama moved to seventh place on the league table, while Aduana FC dropped to 12th. Both teams now shift focus to their next games.
