Ronaldo is a player of Al Nassr Ronaldo is a player of Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Al Nassr contract isn’t just a football extension; it’s a blueprint for one of the most powerful individual deals in the sport’s modern history.

Signed in June 2025 and running until 2027, the agreement doesn’t merely keep the Portuguese forward in Saudi Arabia; it positions him as part player, part partner, and part enterprise.

According to The Sun, the financial package is estimated to be worth £178 million a year, a figure that reshapes what it means to sign a football contract in today’s game.

Ronaldo will now earn £3.4 million per week, but that only scratches the surface of what’s included.

A major clause in the new deal is Ronaldo’s 15% ownership stake in Al Nassr, a share reportedly valued around £33 million.

In essence, Ronaldo now plays for a club he partly owns, blurring the lines between athlete and executive.

Upon signing the deal, he received an upfront bonus of £24.5 million, which increases to £38 million if he activates the second year.

This incentivised structure rewards his commitment with an immediate windfall, while holding out even more if he stays until the contract’s conclusion.

On performance incentives, Ronaldo stands to earn £80,000 for every goal he scores, a number that will rise by 20% in the second year of the agreement.

Assists are also monetised, at £40,000 apiece, also increasing by 20% in the second year. The message is clear: productivity is profit.

Success at club level is heavily incentivised. Should Al Nassr win the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo will receive an £8 million bonus.

If he finishes the season as the league’s top scorer, he earns an additional £4 million. And if Al Nassr qualify for and win the Asian Champions League, another £6.5 million will be added to his earnings.

Beyond the pitch, the contract ensures Ronaldo maintains a lifestyle that aligns with his global brand. Private jet expenses worth £4 million annually are fully covered by the club.

This includes travel for personal, family, and brand-related commitments around the world.

Ronaldo will also benefit from £60 million worth of sponsorship deals sourced through new Saudi companies and partners across the Asian market.

These are guaranteed earnings—negotiated and arranged by the club—as part of his continued role as a sporting ambassador for Saudi Arabia.

To support his day-to-day life, Ronaldo will be backed by a full-time personal staff of 16 people, all funded by Al Nassr.

    This includes:

Three drivers to manage his local and international travel,

Four housekeepers responsible for the upkeep of his various residences,

Two private chefs handling his dietary needs and nutrition planning,

Three gardeners maintaining his homes’ outdoor spaces, and

Four security personnel providing round-the-clock safety and privacy.

    This isn’t just a football contract—it’s a full-scale operations agreement.

One that ensures Ronaldo continues to function not only as an elite athlete, but also as a luxury brand, a business partner, and a global symbol of Saudi football’s vision.
