Popular Ghanaian gospel musician, Celestine Donkor, has launched the 11th edition of her highly-anticipated ‘Celestial Praiz’ gospel concert after taking a break last year.

The annual event is scheduled for March 9, 2025, at the Dominion Sanctuary of Victory Bible Church in Awoshie, Accra.

Under the theme ‘I Do a New Thing,’ inspired by Isaiah 43:19, this year’s concert promises to be a transformative experience, focusing on elevating gospel music ministry.

The theme reflects God’s promise to bring forth new beginnings, even in the most challenging circumstances.

In a bid to empower church music and strengthen connections with choirs, Celestine Donkor has introduced ‘Intimate Worship Time with Singers,’ a pre-event initiative that will give selected choir groups the opportunity to minister at the main concert.

Additionally, she launched ‘Campus Gospel with Celestine Donkor,’ an outreach program aimed at making gospel music appealing to the youth.

The first edition of this initiative took place on January 31, 2025, at Crown and Glory School in Gbaweh, with plans to sustain it through funding from Celestine Donkor Ministries and partners.

The concert will feature performances by Celestine Donkor and her newly formed gospel group, Celestial Breed, comprising her longtime backing vocalists. The group recently released their debut single, You’re Amazing.

Other guest artistes include Nigeria’s Minister GUC, South Africa’s Zaza Mokhathi, Ps Edwin Dadson, and Kwaku Teye, among others.
