With 100 days to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ghana’s focus has shifted squarely to on-field performance as the Ghana national football team intensify preparations for the tournament in North America.

Coach Otto Addo will lead his side into Group L, where Ghana face Panama in Toronto on June 17, England in Boston on June 23, and Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27. The fixtures present varied tactical tests, with England widely viewed as the toughest hurdle.

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed Bryant University in Providence, Rhode Island, as the team’s base camp, while Sports Minister Kofi Adams has proposed a $13.7 million budget to Parliament to cover logistics, bonuses and technical expenses.

Preparations include friendlies against Germany, Austria and Mexico, giving Addo a final assessment window before naming his squad.

Ghana sealed qualification in October 2025 with a 1-0 win over Comoros, courtesy of Mohammed Kudus, making Addo the first coach to qualify the nation for consecutive World Cups. The Black Stars aim to surpass their 2010 quarterfinal finish.
