A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman was found in a park in Greenwich on Saturday.
The victim, said to be in her 20s, was found near a community centre in Cator Park, south-east London yesterday.
The Metropolitan Police said officers had been called to the scene on Kidbrooke Park Road at around 5.30pm.
The force said they believe they know the identity of the woman but are awaiting formal identification and confirmation that her family have been informed.
Forensic officers in white protective gear were seen working the scene late last night.

Met Police Greenwich tweeted: ‘A man was arrested around 21:20hrs at an address in Lewisham on suspicion of murder and is now in custody at a south London police station.
‘A number of crime scenes are in place and enquiries are ongoing.’
