The Canadian rapper gave his idol the flowers he deserved right on stage.
Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and performer, Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, did not hold back in lauding his idol and award-winning rapper, Lil Wayne, in an emotional moment on stage.
Drake, who had initially postponed his “OVO Fest” due to COVID-19 complications, eventually held the event on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, making it what is described as a “Young Money Reunion Concert”, which saw Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj share the same stage performing together. Young Money acts like Mack Maine were also at the event.
Headlining the event at the 16,000-person capacity Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada, the rapper took time to thank American iconic rapper Lil Wayne for his contribution to his career’s success.
Drake revealed how Lil Wayne gave him thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), an “unforgettable fee” that really helped him and his mum.
