Thomas Partey produced arguably his best performance of the season so far for Arsenal in their 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

The Ghanaian midfielder was at the heart of an impressive first half for Arsenal and was key in the second half, where Arsenal produced a masterclass of defensive football to keep Manchester City in check.

In the first half, Partey’s smartness contributed to Arsenal’s equalizer as his decision to quickly take a set-piece resulted in a wonderful goal by Ricardo Calafiori.

The Ghanaian kept the team ticking and won possession impressively for Arsenal in the game.

At the end of the game, Partey recorded a successful passing rate of 81%, managed six clearances, one interception, and six recoveries.

In terms of duels, Partey won six out of the nine ground duels he contested and won one of the two aerial duels he challenged.

His performance did not go unnoticed as Arsenal fans on social media hailed him for producing a display that indicates he is getting back to his best.
