Hearts of Oak earned their first three points of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season with a 2-0 win over Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
The Phobians had suffered back-to-back defeats since the start of the season and needed to make amends.
Ransford Mensah broke the deadlock in the second half with a powerful free kick from the edge of the box.
The goal inspired the Phobians for another goal and in the 75th minute, Hamza Issah doubled the lead.
Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakar Ouattara had come under pressure following the poor performances but the win has somewhat redeemed him.
Hearts of Oak’s next match is against Nations FC in the Ashanti Region.
