Watch Canada’s Record 68th Second Goal At The World Cup 2022

Although Canada might be out of the World Cup 2022 competition, the country had a history-defining moment as the first world cup goal in the country’s history was scored in the 68th second against Croatia.

Canada, who had failed to pick up a single point in the group stages of the World Cup 2022 competition, was a side that left an impression on many as the country also scored the first goal in the history of the competition.

Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies had scored a thunderous header in the 68th second in their second world cup fixture against Croatia. Although they suffered a 4-1 defeat in the hands of the runners-up at the 2018 world cup, the Canadians were a side that gave world number 2 Belgium a run for their money in the opening match of the competition.

With so much talent and youth in the team, it is expected that with more experience, Canada would be making their appearance at the 2026 world cup to be hosted by America (North and South).
