CJ admonishes new lawyers – Class FM report

Chief Justice Gertrude Esaaba Torkornoo, speaking at the ceremony, extended congratulations to the lawyers.

She emphasized that the practice of law “is not an arena for the mediocre display of supposed knowledge superiority, but rather a domain for consistent, humble, sober, and reflective thought processes that enable you to serve those who rely on you with clarity and benefit.”

She further urged the new lawyers to employ their knowledge for the betterment of society.

The Chief Justice remarked that the world “is confronted with unprecedented challenges that require wisdom, resilience, and understanding in the way lawyers interpret and apply the legal principles they have learned to real-world issues.”
