A woman has been killed after she was allegedly struck by a vehicle before the motorist fled the scene.
The incident happened on the corner of Boundary Road and Elizabeth Street, in Urangan, around 15km east of Hervey Bay, on the Sunshine Coast, around midnight.
Queensland Police have said the woman in her 40s was walking along Boundary Road when she was allegedly struck by the vehicle.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but the woman could not be saved.
