Two Coastguard helicopters descend on Welsh beach after ‘father and his two sons’ got into difficulty

Two Coastguard helicopters descended on a Welsh beach on Bank Holiday Monday amid concerns a ‘father and his two sons’ may have got into difficulty.

The helicopters were filmed circling around Barmouth Beach in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, this evening.

An RNLI lifeboat was also pictured on the beach as emergency services launched a rescue mission.

Locals tonight said they hoped the frantic search would have ‘a happy ending’ and claimed that those involved are ‘two boys and their dad’.

North Wales Police have asked people to stay away from the area while the incident is going on.
