This is the shocking moment an accountant called a bouncer ‘you black man’ and told him ‘that’s why you get a name’ in a racist outburst after she was reportedly ejected from an upmarket cocktail bar.
The woman, who was wearing a blue blouse, was arrested after the incident at Vine Bar in Halifax, Yorkshire, on Friday evening and has spent the weekend in police cells.
Police have confirmed a woman, who has not been identified but was said to be an accountant and policeman’s daughter, was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence on Friday and remains in custody.
In the footage the woman says to the bouncer: ‘Oh my god you must be so proud. You’re working on a door,’ clapping her hands together in mock applause.

Before walking off, she points her finger at the doorman and says: ‘You black man.’
She continues the racist rant by repeating the word ‘black’ and continuing: ‘That’s why you get a name. Black.’
The bust-up happened outside the Vine Bar, set among the town’s historic mills, after she was escorted out for upsetting other customers.
The footage went viral on social media, attracting hundreds of angry comments and resulting in the loss of her part-time accounting work.

Lynda Gionotti, who owns the Vine Bar, released a statement after the incident, saying the staff were ‘truly appalled’, ‘shocked’ and ‘saddened’ over the abuse.
The statement read: ‘All the staff and management at Vine are truly appalled at the behaviour of the customer who racially abused our doorman last Friday evening.
‘This kind of behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated and we are thankful that West Yorkshire Police took swift and decisive action.
‘Abuse of hospitality staff is unfortunately a problem that needs stamping out. No one should have to go to work and endure abuse it’s just not acceptable.’
West Yorkshire Police said on Saturday: ‘A woman has been arrested this evening on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and assault in relation to an incident that occurred last night at Vine Bar, in Stainland Road, West Vale, Halifax.
‘She remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing into the incident. West Yorkshire Police takes all reports of hate incidents seriously.
‘We are aware that the incident has had a focus on social media and would ask that people avoid engaging in unhelpful speculation at this time that could impact on this active investigation.’
