    Seaplane crashes off Queensland island as emergency responders rush to the scene

    • No initial reports of injuries or fatalities

    A seaplane has crashed off a popular Queensland holiday, with a first photo showing the aircraft upside down in the water. 

    The incident occurred at the Jumpinpin Channel on North Stradbroke Island, which separates the island from South Stradbroke Island, at around 12:11pm on Thursday.

    Reports said the seaplane had crashed upon take-off into the water with two patients aboard.

    Emergency Services responded to the sea plane crash. 

    A seaplane has crashed off at the Jumpinpin Channel on North Stradbroke Island, with a first photo showing the aircraft upside down in the water. No one is believed to have been injured in the incident

    The two passengers reportedly made it back to shore without assistance, paramedics judging they are uninjured.

    Queensland Ambulance are transporting the pair from the crash back to the mainland. 

    The sea plane has since been pulled from the water.
