Multiple award-winning musician, Emmanuel Andrews Samini who is fondly known in the showbiz circles as Samini has been elected as the new Students Representative Council president.
The Ghanaian dancehall artiste has emerged as the next SRC President of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration following an election on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
Samini beat his contender to become GIMPA SRC President-elect with a total of 307 votes while the person who came close to him was Theophilus Quartey, who also pulled 212 votes.
After the results were heard by many of the students, there were wild jubilations on the campus because many of them were obviously rooting for the ‘Akye’ man.

In one of the videos which have surfaced online, Samini was flanked by some students who were happily singing along to some of Samini’s songs which were playing in the background as a way of expressing their delight that he won.
Samini who was also at the scene in the company of Ghana Football Association Executive member and manager of Asamoah Gyan, Mr Anim Addo who is a former SRC President of the school was also seen jubilating.

Many netizens thought it would have been difficult for Samini to pull this through, especially after the recent brouhaha with the security guard at Legon.
However, he has defied all odds to come out as a victor and we say a big congrats to him.
