Two teenage girls who mysteriously vanished for three days in Sydney‘s north-west have been found safe and well.
A desperate hunt was launched after Madison Wells and Amelia Butcher were reported missing by their concerned families on Wednesday night.
The two 14 year-olds were last seen leaving a school in Castle Hill together two days earlier on Monday.
Police immediately launched a public appeal to track down the girls with thousands of Facebook shares.
Family and friends also pleaded for the pair to return home.

Police held grave concerns for the girls due to their young age.
The pair were believed to be together and were known to frequent the Blacktown and Castle Hill areas or possibly travelling around the Sydney Trains network.
The search ended on Thursday afternoon when the girls were spotted by police in Castle Hill.
‘I just saw them in Castle Hill. Castle hill police stopped them and had a talk with the two,’ a woman posted on the NSW Police Facebook page.
Hills Area Police confirmed a short time later the girls had been found.
