Police have pictured the two individuals they believe shot Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson – in an attack that saw the rookie standout shot multiple times in Washington, DC, but somehow survive.
The incident, which cops contend was an armed robbery gone wrong, transpired just before 5:30 pm on of H Street, Northeast, and left the 23-year-old with bullet wounds in both his hip and leg.
In the chaos that then ensued, the suspects who carried out the seemingly premeditated strike fled the scene emptyhanded – but were captured by a nearby surveillance camera, along with photos of the car they were last seen in.
Late Monday night, cops shared the images of the hooded marauders – two tall Black males who police believe are juveniles.
The suspects, police said, had ‘shoulder length dreads, medium complexion,’ and shirts ‘with yellow smiley faces on it.’
The grainy surveillance photos showed one of the supposed juveniles in a red jacket and the other in black, as well as a photo of the blue sedan cops say the pair fled in.
Cops released the images asking for help in tracking down the would-be robbers, and are offering a reward of $10,000 for any information that leads to their capture.
Meanwhile, Robinson – who was poised to become a surprise starter this season following a success – has already been making major strives in his recovery, leaving the hospital Monday following a successful surgery to his glute and lower leg.

An announcement from the Metropolitan Police Department late Monday asked for the public’s help in tracking down the miscreants, who had been both armed with handguns, the newly released photos show.
‘Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to an Assault With Intent to Rob while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in the 1000 block of H Street, Northeast,’ the alert read.
The notice was accompanied by four photos – one each depicting the two suspects, and two showing the dark blue four-door that they drove off in.
Police added the suspects ‘brandished handguns and attempted to rob the victim’ during the failed heist, firing their weapons before fleeing the scene.
The injuries sustained by Robinson – who played four years as a starter for his hometown team Alabama – police noted, had been ‘non-life threatening.’

‘At approximately 5:28 p.m., the suspects approached the victim at the listed location,’ the announcement continued.
‘The suspects brandished handguns and attempted to rob the victim. During the robbery attempt, the suspects fired their handguns, striking the victim.
‘The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle without obtaining any property. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.’
The suspects, meanwhile, were not named – though it appears police have an idea as to their identity due to their belief that both are aged under 18. Police asked citizens to call in tips for a chance to be awarded the $10,000 reward.
No further details on the suspects and incident were immediately provided.
On Monday, Robinson shared a positive update as to his condition, telling his 62,000 followers on Instagram that he had just undergone successful surgery.
The rookie standout wrote on his story, ‘Surgery went well! Thanks for the prayers! God is great!’
What’s more, even after being shot multiple times, the Commanders’ new running back is still in a ‘really good place,’ according to coach Ron Rivera, after the botched carjacking Sunday night.
It was revealed Monday that the 23-year-old was hit in both the leg and hip, according to WTOP News, by the two assailant – but, somehow, despite all this, a return to football this season has not been ruled out.
‘I can’t get into specifics of it other than to say he’s doing well,’ Rivera told reporters Monday, before adding, ‘ ‘I had an opportunity to visit with him last night, which was really a relief and kind of cool because he was in a really good place.
‘The doctors were very positive with him and he was very positive as well.’
He went on: ‘He’s very fortunate, it’s a very unfortunate situation. He’s doing well, it’s just gonna be a matter of time before he’s back out here. There is no timeline, but, as I said, everything’s been very positive.’

Multiple reports have indicated that Robinson was released from the hospital Monday, after undergoing successful surgery.
In a statement Sunday night, a DC Metro Police spokesman said the shooting occurred just before 6:00pm local time along the H Street Corridor near Ben’s Chili Bowl in the northeast part of the city. The spokesman added they are looking for two juvenile suspects in relation to the shooting.
It was revealed Monday morning, though, that the incident took place at Crab Boss, not Ben’s Chili Bowl, according to WTOP.
Ron Rivera was able to share a positive update about Robinson on Monday morning
Just hours after the incident, Robinson’s Washington Commanders teammates returned to practice Monday.
Robinson’s position-mates were spotted huddling with running backs coach Randy Jordan before they went to go work with quarterbacks – something observers noted is ‘not normally the case.’
Robinson – who was drafted after a breakout senior season at Alabama – was reportedly in line for the starting job before the unfortunate incident, with ESPN saying last week he ‘appears to have supplanted [Antonio Gibson] as the main runner’ on the team.
Robinson was a third-round pick out of Alabama in this year’s draft, and had 14 rushing touchdowns for the Crimson Tide last season.
Neither he or the team have shared a more detailed update on his condition or a timetable as to his return.
Cops, meanwhile, continue to search for the perpetrators.
