The Deputy Head of Corporate Affairs of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mr. Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi has said over 200 events have been approved by the Authority ahead of the Christmas and New Year festivities in the country.
He stated that Ghana has over the past few years become the preferred destination for those in the diaspora and Ghanaians living abroad for the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
He said that the events have been endorsed by the Ghana Tourism Authority.
According to him these events will help patronize our domestic and international tourism.
Mr. Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi spoke to Peace FM news.
Mr. Atta Kakra added there are plans put in place to ensure that various tourist sites treat tourists well and abide by the standards of the Ghana Tourism Authority in the upcoming Christmas and new year.
Again, he said Ghana Tourism Authority has had stakeholders engagement in terms of security arrangements to take away panic from tourists in order to move Ghana tourism forward.
