Otto Addo invites ex-Dreams FC left-back Montari Kamaheni for Nigeria clash — Ghana Sports Online

Black Stars interim coach Otto Addo has surprisingly included former Dreams FC defender Montari Kamaheni in his 27-man squad for the crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against Nigeria.

The 22-year-old, who currently plays for Israeli Premier League side FC Ashdod, spent three seasons playing for the Ghana Premier League side which was previously bankrolled by the current Ghana FA President.

His inclusion raises the number of left-backs in the team to 3 with Hearts of Oak’s Dennis Korsah and Bordeaux youngster Gideon Mensah also in the squad.

Meanwhile, the defender has featured in 21 league games for Ashdod, picked up 1 red card, 2 yellow cards, and provided one assist.

The Ghana youth international was called as a late replacement for injured Gideon Mensah in Ghana’s world cup qualifying doubleheader against Ethiopia and South Africa last November.
