Oasis has extended the deadline for its fans to register their pre-sale ballot entries to until Friday morning after an ‘unprecedented’ number signed up for the reunion tour tickets.
Millions of people are set to ‘go to war’ for tickets this weekend after Noel and Liam Gallagher put their 15-year feud behind them to announce a mammoth comeback tour across the UK and Ireland next summer.
The band’s devoted followers had until 7pm last night to register for a pre-sale ballot on their official website, ahead of the official ticket release on Saturday at 9am for the UK shows and 8am for the Dublin performances.
But this has been extended until 10am on Friday ‘due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries’.
Some disappointed fans have been left panicking as they still haven’t received their confirmation emails.

Oasis shared a statement on X to announce the deadline to confirm pre-sale ballot entries would be extended.
‘Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out.’ it read.
‘The deadline to confirm your entry has now been extended to 10am BST tomorrow morning (Friday 30th August).
‘If successful in the ballot, you will be contacted tomorrow by 5pm BST with pre-sale access information. Thank you for your patience.’
It comes after fans faced a nervous wait for their confirmation emails ahead of the ticket release.

On Wednesday, the band’s official social media page said it was ‘aware’ that many were still waiting for the email and ‘rest assured they are on their way’.
In a post, the band wrote: ‘We are aware that many of you are still waiting on a confirmation email. Rest assured they are on their way, as we process an unprecedented volume of entries.
‘Everyone who has filled out the ballot form by 7pm BST today, Wednesday 28th August, will receive an email where they can confirm their entry in the ballot.’
Those entering the ballot are being asked who the band’s original drummer is, and are offered the options of Chris Sharrock, Alan White and the correct answer, Tony McCarroll, who drummed with the band from their formation until 1995.
Entrants are also being asked how many times they have seen the band.
The legendary Manchester rock band will reunite for 14 shows in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin – with gigs outside of Europe set to be added at a later date.
Announcing the tour at 8am yesterday, the band said: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.’
The tour will run from July 4 to August 17, kicking off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before the brothers pack out Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.
The UK dates will be sold through Ticketmaster, Gigs and Tours and See Tickets, all of whom will be bracing for a frenzy when tickets go on sale. The Oasis website crashed immediately after their announcement yesterday, indicating just how many people will be battling it out for tickets.

Those in the music industry say demand is set to rival or even exceed that of Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’, which saw the global pop star sell out several concerts across the UK.
Music insiders believe the band will announce even more dates soon as the current crop of tickets will ‘sell out in less than three minutes’.
More than 4million fans are expected to be vying for the 1,066,888 tickets available across the 14 gigs, with sources telling The Sun that once they sell out ‘extra dates will be added for sure’.
Industry insiders have also claimed that Bonehead is ‘confirmed’ for the tour and ‘ecstatic’ that the band is back together – with Liam and Noel Gallagher reportedly ‘both wanting him in the fold’ after he was ‘one of the drivers of the reunion’.
‘The Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is ecstatic,’ the source said, adding: ‘Noel has brought in some of his band too.’

Fans have also been urged to make sure their accounts are verified, which can be done by adding your phone number and confirming a one-time passcode.
Those hoping to secure a ticket for the comeback tour should also make sure their card details are already saved to avoid last-minute panic.

Ticketmaster says that there is usually a waiting room which opens 15 minutes before the sale. Once the queue opens, you will be told exactly where you are in line.
Ticketing sites warn that refreshing the page won’t move you further up the queue and that the page updates itself automatically.
Fans will be able to purchase a maximum of four tickets per transaction and you will not be able to sell them for more than you bought them for. The price of tickets has not been revealed but the Manchester Evening News reports it will exceed £100.
