Mystery owner of £350,000 Rolls-Royce gets two parking tickets when he leaves it on posh Kensington Street – just a week after putting a fancy personalised numberplate on it

The owner of a £350,000 Rolls Royce Cullinan Black has been hit with two £80 penalty charge notices parking the massive SUV illegally near High Street Kensington. 

The luxury car – was left opposite the critically-acclaimed Dishoom restaurant on Derry Street – just a short distance from Kensington Palace. 

According to DVLA records, the car was fitted with a private number plate on August 17 – estimated to be worth between £200,000 and £300,000. 

The number plate, K1, was first owned by Sir William Epslen in the 1960s before being purchased by Saj Iqbal in 2018. It was then snapped up by a mystery buyer, who has fitted it to his Cullinan.

The £350,000 Rolls Royce Cullinan Black was parked illegally on Derry Street in Kensington on Saturday afternoon

The car’s owner – who paid between £200,000 and £300,000 extra for the K1 number plate faces £160 in parking charges – although these can be reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days

The mystery motorist will have to pay £160 to Kensington and Chelsea council to settle his bill for leaving the giant 4×4 in a restricted spot. 

Although, the car’s owner can slash the bill by 50 per cent if they settle their debt within 14 days.
