Newly signed Asante Kotoko player, Elvis Kyei Baffour, has expressed his primary goal of scoring for the team. The Porcupine Warriors announced the acquisition of the former Liberty Professionals forward on a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old Kumasi native has signed a three-year contract with his childhood club. Since joining the team on July 2, 2024, Kyei has impressed the coaching staff with his abilities and experience.

“My objective is to score goals as a striker to support the team. I also aim to assist my teammates in scoring,” he said.

Kyei’s return to his hometown marks a new chapter in his career, which began at Kumasi Rainbow FC before moving to Liberty in 2017. His professional journey includes stints in Tunisia with AS Soliman and in Slovenia with NK Rogaska.

Kyei is expected to play in the upcoming Democracy Cup match against Hearts of Oak on Wednesday, July 17.
