A video that was shared online captured the moment a trailer carrying two 20ft containers fell on a bridge in Apapa Lagos.
According to one of the witnesses who was plying the road when the incident happened, he revealed that no lives were lost.
He also added that only the trailer sustained damage but the contents inside the containers were intact.
While the traders below the bridge gathered their goods and ran for safety, others moved around to ensure that no one was injured or dead.
In the video, he could be heard saying;
“We were on the side when this road when this truck carrying two 20ft containers somersaulted and went sideways after losing its grip while going on a backward slope. It’s still holding content and this is the damage it has done. There are some people staying under the bridge, market women selling all sorts of things we are so thankful to God that there was no injury or death.”
The man also added that the Federal Government should ensure that traders who trade underneath the bridge are evicted because it is not safe and also to avoid this kind of occurrence repeating itself.
He also added that though there might have been no causality next time can not be vouched for.
