A missing Oregon mother of three was found dead outside a barn in the neighboring state of Washington after the alleged killer supposedly took her and left her there.
Joanna Speaks, 32, was found in Ridgefield, Washington on April 8, with authorities suggesting her body had been ‘moved’ there.
She’d been killed by blunt force trauma to her head and neck, with her death being ruled a homicide.
Whatever happened, her family believes she’d died trying to defend herself, sister Robyn Speaks said.
‘She was fearless,’ her sister told KOIN. ‘I guarantee she fought back.’

The county sheriff’s office was investigating her death as a homicide.
A suspect has not yet been identified and police in Clark County Oregon are still investigating.
Speaks had a 7-year-old daughter and two teenage sons, according to her sister Robyn and step-sister Ariel Hamby.
‘It keeps me up at night thinking that whoever did this to her, blunt force trauma to the head and neck, I mean that is violent, and that person is walking around,’ Hamby said.
Robyn Speaks and Hamby both admitted that Jordan, who had struggled with addiction over the years, had not been in contact with them since March, according to KGW.
But ultimately, they’re as stumped as anyone else as to who committed this grisly killing.
‘We’re not a family that gives up and we won’t give up finding answers… doing whatever we have to get some sort of peace for her,’ said Robyn Speaks.
A GoFundMe was started with the specific goal of giving Speaks a proper burial, for her children’s sake.

‘Her children have made it clear that they would like to keep a piece of her with them, but also have a place to visit where her name and life will be engraved and never forgotten,’ reads a description on the GoFundMe page.
‘We’re hoping that we can at least give them that,’ Hamby added. The fundraiser has so far put up over $3,000.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is desperate for anyone to come forward with any information.
‘CCSO is asking for the public’s assistance with this investigation,’ the agency said. ‘Please contact detectives if you are aware of any suspicious people or vehicles at or near 8004 S 5th St in Ridgefield during the last few weeks.’
‘If you have recent contact with Joanna Speaks or have information about where she has been staying or who she has been associating with, please contact detectives.’
