Former FOX News host Megyn Kelly slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci for ‘lying’ about the origins of COVID-19 as she hit out at the mainstream media who view him as a ‘mini-God.’
In the most recent episode of her Megyn Kelly Show, the one-time anchor discussed recently released emails showing that Fauci commissioned a paper to disprove the possibility that COVID originated in a lab — before publicizing the study at a White House news conference weeks later.
She suggested the doctor intentionally lied about the possibility that COVID-19 could have been leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China because the United States was funding gain-of-function research on coronaviruses at the lab.
‘He didn’t give a s*** where the pandemic originated, because China,’ Kelly said.
She also derided the mainstream media for not discussing the recent revelations because they view Fauci as a ‘superhero’ and a ‘mini-God.’
Her rant came as top scientific advisers testified before Congress that there is mounting evidence that COVID originated in a lab, and accused Fauci of trying to cover up the claims.

Over the weekend, House Republicans probing the COVID-19 pandemic released bombshell emails showing the former head of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases both commissioned and had final approval on a scientific paper which claimed it was ‘improbable’ that the virus leaked out of a lab.
According to one of the authors of the paper, ‘Our main work… has been focused on trying to disprove any type of lab theory.’
Then just a few weeks after it was published in February 2020, Fauci cited the paper in a news conference with former President Donald Trump when he was asked about the possibility that COVID leaked from a lab.
He said at the time: ‘There was a study recently where a group of highly-qualified evolutionary virologists looked at the sequence… in bats as they evolve and the mutations that it took to get to the point where it is now is totally consistent with a jump of species from an animal to a human.’
‘So the paper will be available,’ Fauci continued. ‘I don’t have the authors right now, but we can make it available to you.’
Discussing those revelations in her podcast on Wednesday, Megyn Kelly claimed he ‘manipulated’ the reporting on the origins of COVID.
‘This guy, it’s amazing, he’s gotten away with this,’ she said. ‘It’s amazing the mainstream media doesn’t show more interest in what are clearly lies, they come out every week, but they just love their little Fauci superhero doll.
‘Each one of them goes to sleep with it at their bedside every night, and no narrative can be advanced that contradicts it.’
She then mocked Fauci’s remarks in the April 2020 press conference, saying: ‘Fauci went so far as to basically pretend he didn’t know these people’ who wrote the report. ‘Like “I can’t even remember the names of who were on this paper.”

Kelly also suggested that the reason Fauci denied the possibility that COVID could have originated in a lab is because he and the other authors of the paper ‘were in bed with China.
‘They were protecting China,’ she said, as ‘the US was funding this whole thing — including what was happening in the Wuhan lab, including gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses to make them more lethal and more contagious and we didn’t want anyone taking a closer look under the hood, that’s the truth.
‘It was all lies,’ Kelly continued. ‘Every day we get new emails that show Fauci’s been lying and his little virologists who’ve participated in that Nature article, which they used to slam honest virologists out of saying it was a lab leak.
‘It was all a Fauci operation — it was disinformation as the media likes to call it, and you’ll hear nothing about this in the mainstream media,’ which views Fauci as a ‘mini-God,’ she said.
‘He is a little superhero to the left, and they won’t report on this,’ Kelly continued.
‘He’s been lying to us all along, of course his fingerprints were all over the Nature article. He didn’t give a s*** where the pandemic originated, because China.’

Kelly’s remarks came as experts, including a former Biden staffer and Donald Trump’s CDC director, testified to the House subcommittee investigating COVID that taxpayer-funded gain-of-function likely caused the virus that came from the Chinese facility.
Dr. Jamie Metzl, a self-identified Democrat who worked for President Biden when he was in the Senate, said he favored the lab leak theory because ‘the Chinese government has done everything in its power’ to stonewall investigations.
He said China had an ‘incentive’ to find the animal where Covid-19 had originated while pushing the animal-to-human transmission theory, but hadn’t done so.
‘Given that the Chinese government has every incentive to find intermediary host, it’s very significant that hasn’t been found,’ Metzl said. ‘I think it’s very telling after three years we haven’t found it.’
