Horror as driver is killed in multi-car crash that left mangled wreckage strewn across a busy road – with traffic banked up for kilometres

One person has died after a horrific high-speed car crash in Sydney‘s north-west and two others have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries
The two-vehicle crash happened in Marsfield about 4pm Saturday leaving traffic backed up for kilometres as emergency crews attended the scene.
Epping Road has been closed between Vinimera Road and Balaclava Road.
Paramedics treated a male driver, 60, and male passenger, 84, from a Subaru and a female driver, 66, from a Toyota Camry.
The 84-year-old passenger died at the scene from a suspected heart attack, while both drivers were rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital in stable conditions.

Emergency crews blocked off Epping Road in Marsfield in Sydney’s north-west after the crash
One of the cars was reportedly trying to make a turn on Epping Road when it was struck at high speed by the other vehicle.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have established a crime scene and specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have been brought in.
Shocked witnesses could be seen hugging as they waited on the side of the road to talk to police.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said several crews were sent to scene including specialists paramedics and doctors and an ambulance helicopter.
NSW Police have asked motorists to avoid the area as traffic delays are expected well into Saturday night.
Anyone with information, or who has mobile phone or dashcam footage of the incident, is also asked to contact police.
